Beenken Family + Jordan River
Putting the Beenken family into words is going to be difficult. Last year, Sammy was nominated for my #photosforjamie series, where I donate family sessions to women with breast cancer in honor of my mom. Sammy is love, strength, and joy. She has been through SO much and has handled it with such bravery. She’s truly an inspiration!
When I pulled up, the family was waiting in the car and it was raining a little. I was a worried the weather wasn’t going to cooperate, but the Beenkens had faith and it cleared up just in time for the session to start! The light peeking through the trees at this Jordan River location ended up being so perfect for the session. It was magical! I was lucky to work with Jessica Criddle Video on this session! She makes beautiful films and this one was no exception. She is so talented and definitely worth checking out!
The love and emotion during this session was tangible. I was in tears multiple times, especially when Sammy danced with her husband, and then each boy. Sammy’s boys are so blessed to be loved and adored by her. I can’t even believe the Beenken family trusted me to capture such sacred moments.
