Christy had planned on a family mini session, but her family meeting her at the capitol didn’t go as planned. Such is life, but I still felt bad that it didn’t work out for her. We made the most of it and did a little mini maternity shoot. I’m so glad she agreed, because they turned out beautiful!!!

We timed these mini sessions perfectly and caught the Capitol blossoms at peak bloom! They were so gorgeous! Mini sessions are only 20 minutes long, but I pack them with so many great photos. They are perfect for little ones with short attention spans, like this guy. It was so fun to meet this sweet family! The only downside to minis, is that I don’t get as much time to get to know new clients. Thanks for coming Perry family!

Teara is a talented newborn photographer and owns Silver Clover Photography, so if you love the adorable, squishy little newborn poses, she’s your girl. Due to this crazy spring weather, we had to reschedule their session, but we got a beautiful day! I couldn’t get over how adorable these sisters were together. They were so sweet and cuddly with each other and the shots of them together turned out so cute. Thanks for making the long walk out to the water with me Watson family, I think we can all agree it was worth it!

I absolutely love this location! It had been a while since I had done a session there, so I was so excited when Micah loved the idea too. She has to be the kindest, most humble and sweet senior. I photographed the Van Brocklin family for the first time when little Avett was born. You can see that in-home session here. I’m so grateful they had me back to document the addition of Radley! He’s so precious! We shot this session at White Space Studios in Sandy. It’s my favorite natural light studio and I think it was the perfect choice for this session! I just love this beautiful little family! Kailey and Connor are talented photographers and videographers, so I feel especially honored when they hire me. I love how their session turned out and I’m excited to share it with you all! There’s just something so special about newborn sessions!

Paityn is the sweetest! Her heart is as beautiful as she is and I had such a great time with her and her mom during this downtown SLC senior session! I love shooting downtown! It’s the perfect location for senior sessions and you run into such a diverse group of people, there’s never a dull moment! Downtown SLC is especially great for early spring senior sessions when most outdoor locations haven’t greened up yet. We got some great variety and I love how the photos turned out! Thanks Paityn. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I shot Arie’s newborn photos! She’s just as sweet as she was then. Even though she was a little overwhelmed by getting her picture taken, she did so well and LOVED her cake! She was absolutely adorable eating it with her tiny fingers.

Sweet little William joined his family two weeks ago. We scheduled his session for one week after he was born. I personally like shooting newborn sessions as soon as possible. They change and grow so quickly, so I love capturing that fresh newborn look. It’s also helpful that they are still really sleepy and cuddly! I treat in-home newborn sessions like a family session with an emphasis on the new baby. Welcoming a new baby is a big deal for the whole family, so I like to include everyone!
