Behunin Family + Temple Quarry Trail

It’s funny to me that meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of photography, because I’m actually an introvert and naturally pretty shy. I’m grateful that it pushes me out of my comfort zone and I get to meet wonderful people like the Behunins. Their kids are so cute! I love seeing their little personalities come out in front of my camera. They recently moved back to Utah and I’m lucky they chose me to take some new family photos for them. They came to my fall mini sessions and the weather was perfect with the most gorgeous fall colors! Welcome back to Utah Behunin Family!

In Home Lifestyle Session + At Home With Ashley

Ashley is an interior designer and has the prettiest house! I graduated in interior design and worked as a designer up until Ava was born, so I appreciate good design! She was probably tired of me asking about the sources for everything. You should follow her if you love getting pretty ideas for your home! Click here to go to her insta. Her little boy Don has the most beautiful curly hair! I was dying over it. I LOVE an in home session, so if you do too send me an email and we can get something scheduled! They are perfect now that the weather is getting a little cooler and more unpredictable. And don’t worry, your house doesn’t have to be as perfect as Ashley’s to have your family photos done there. Photos of your family are so much more meaningful if they are taken in the place where you spend so much time loving each other.

Howell Family + Green Canyon

It was so good to see Haley and Myles again and meet their kids! Haley and I were in the Interior Design program together at USU and I haven’t seen her since we graduated. Haley is a very talented designer, I have always loved her style. Myles is an amazing sculpture artist, you can check out his work here.Basically they are way cooler that I will ever be, and are rocking parenthood keeping up with their busy schedules, a 3 year old and twin babies! I’m so impressed with them.

Behling Family + Desert Family Session

I’m lucky enough to call these guys family! Katie is such a sweetheart and I’m so glad my cousin Brooks brought her into the family. When she told me she wanted to do their session on the desert, I was so excited! She wanted something a little different, and I love that. It turned out to be a favorite, even if we did get pretty dirty doing it! Their two boys had a blast rolling in the dirt together. When the boys were done, I stole Katie for a few shots of just her. I love doing that for moms. She is gorgeous!

Tess Jamie + First Birthday

This was the fastest year of my life! I finally got around to editing the pictures from her cake smash. She wasn’t into it, at all. She hardly tasted the cake and just kept trying to run away haha. She smashed her chocolate chip pancakes all over herself at breakfast that morning, so I had hopes that she would really be into her cake. I have a feeling my Tess baby will always be keeping me on my toes. She is a determined little thing and I love her feisty little soul.

Anderson Family + Green Canyon

We had to reschedule this family session due to bad weather. Jordan told me they were cursed and that it’s a running joke that it happens every time they try to do family pictures. We finally broke the curse, because it was the most beautiful fall day! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! The Anderson family is the sweetest. I met them through my brother-in-law and they are just really great people. Jayson is so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful girls. They were all wonderful, but their littlest Blake, was just the happiest little thing through the whole session. She won my heart for sure! I had so many favorites from this one, so I just threw them all in!

Bryner Family + Tunnel Springs Park

The Bryner family was so easy going during their family session and it shows! They made family photos with 4 kids look like a breeze! Rickie and her husband Mike are so cute together! I love getting a few shots of just mom and dad at family sessions. After all, it’s their love for each other that started it all. They just radiated love and happiness! The Bryners live in my brother and sister-in-law’s neighborhood and recently moved back to Utah from Arizona. I had so much fun meeting them and getting to know their kiddos. Such great people, I’m glad they decided to move their beautiful family here!

Tess Jamie turns one

 

One year ago today, at 3:00 am, I woke up to my first contraction. A short 3 hours later, our sweet Tess entered this world. Since my first baby was born, we have moved so we now live about 30 minutes from the hospital. In the weeks leading up to my due date, my husband John kept worrying I was going to have the baby in the car on the way to the hospital. I just laughed it off, but he insisted we have towels in the car just in case. Luckily we didn’t need them, but it was a little too close for comfort.  [Read more…] about Tess Jamie turns one

Pickett Family

This family has a special place in my heart. My husband and I met Ross and Jamie while we in Ghana on an internship and now we are lifelong friends. I got to take photos of little Claire right after she was born and again a few weeks later for her newborns. I have seen her a few times since then, but she is growing so fast! She was the most perfect baby for their mini session. A natural model for sure! I mean how cute is she?
