I absolutely loved this family session! We had so much fun together! Val and I were in the Interior Design program at Utah State University together. We spent a lot of late nights working on projects. We both ended up completing our internships in NYC and lived together for the summer with 5 other girls in a tiny apartment. That summer was filled with so many fun memories, late nights and good food (I would kill for a Shake Shack concrete with truffle cookie dough right now)! So much has changed since then and I loved being able to catch up with her and meet her cute little family. Their little Gavin is just the cutest little thing! The camera loved him and he did so great even though we kept him up past his bedtime. It was fun to watch this sweet family just play together! The way they love each other really shined through.

Ware Family + Neffs Canyon
This family makes my heart happy! They instantly felt like old friends and their session flowed sooo easy. It felt more like we were just hanging out, and I love hanging out with my clients! My camera just loved little Sloane and now I do too. I mean, how can you not fall in love with her perfect little face?! It was fun to get a few shots of just Tyler and Krystal. They might be the cutest couple ever! I was dying behind my camera watching their loving kisses and giggles! Krystal is a very talented photographer, so I’m honored that she asked me to take photos of her gorgeous family.
Marshall + Sakoya – Formals & Bountiful Temple Wedding
These two cuties were married in the Bountiful temple on May 6th. The weather held out just long enough for us to finish photos after the temple sealing. We shot their formal session the night before. It was so fun and the weather was beautiful!Sakoya surprised Marshall with her gorgeous dress in some “first look” shots. We started at the temple and then moved to a gorgeous park with rolling green hills. The sunset and the breeze made it so romantic! Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

Brenna + Senior Session
Brenna has the cutest laugh! I can almost hear it when I look at the photos of her smiling. She is the kind of person that instantly makes you feel like a friend. We had so much fun at her senior session!
Calli + Senior Session
Meeting Calli was definitely one of the highlights of my week. Isn’t she a natural beauty? She is just the sweetest person too! Preparing to graduate from high school is such an exciting time! She told me all about the schools she has applied to and where she hopes to go. I can’t wait to see where this college adventure takes her! She is involved in student government and plays lacrosse, so she pretty much does it all. I loved spending time with this cute girl, it was such a fun senior session!

Behling Family + Orchard Session
I’m lucky enough to be related to this beautiful family. Hayden is my cousin and he grew up down the road from his beautiful wife Kelly. They are so cute together and hanging out with them always means lots of laughs. Aren’t their kids just the cutest? And little Ellys with her missing front teeth just topped it all off! This orchard was so pretty and full of gorgeous blossoms. It was the perfect location for them to let loose and have fun together.
Claire + Newborn Session
I not only got to take photos of Claire at the hospital, but I also got to take some newborn shots of her. She has chubby cheeks now and just keeps getting cuter. She was so good for her session and gave me so many smiles and grumpy faces! I think she looks like her mom right now, but it is always so fun to see how they change as they grow. Congrats Pickett family, she is just perfect!

Claire + Birth Story
Beautiful little Claire was born at 2:47 am on February 4th. She came on her own terms and had everyone eagerly awaiting her arrival. Claire’s parents, Ross and Jamie, are lifetime friends to my husband and I. Even though we all lived in Logan, Utah at the time, it took traveling to Ghana for us to meet. Walking miles and miles in the dusty African heat, traveling in tro tros (tiny busses) packed with too many people and getting caught in torrential rain storms bonds you for life. They are always so fun to be around and I know they will be the funnest parents! Claire is a lucky little girl. I was honored they invited me to capture these tender moments just minutes after Claire was born. Congratulations Pickett family of three!
Tess’s Blessing + Personal Post
We blessed our sweet baby Tess Jamie Johnson on February 5th. It was such a touching experience. She brings a little bit of heaven into my life with her precious smiles. She is named after my mom who passed away before Tess was born. She has that natural happiness about her, and I just feel like she gets it from my mom. Special occasions without her are so bittersweet. Watching her be a grandma was like nothing else, and I just wish she was here to be a part of all our special moments. It breaks my heart that she never got to meet and cuddle Tess, but I love that we still have a little bit of Jamie here with us.
