Neither of his sisters wanted anything to do with their first birthday cake, so I expected Will to be the same. Luckily he loved it and was so fun to watch! This was a really simple setup that anyone could do. I used two white sheets and hung them in the back yard. I prefer sheets for this, because seamless backdrop paper looks really messy with all the cake and frosting. I ordered balloons and balloon tape from Amazon, and it makes balloon garlands and arches SO easy to do! I also purchased a balloon filler earlier this year and it saves so much time! Definitely worth it!

That was the fastest year of my life! Will has been such a joy from day one. He is the happiest, smiliest baby and you just can’t help but love him! He’s been an angel. We were out of town for his birthday, so I took these portraits of him in our backyard when we got back. Of course, his sisters had to get in the photos too. They both adore him! Ava and Will have an especially cute friendship. They love to play, read and giggle together. Their laughs are so infectious! Happy Birthday Bubby! We sure love ya!

I went to high school with Jodi and Jordan and it was so fun to see them and meet their adorable kids! I felt like I could have stayed forever just catching up with them. You would never know they made a long drive and had car trouble on the way to their session (every mom’s worst nightmare)! The older brother, Nash, was always taking care of little Averi and trying to cheer her up. It was so sweet! I even got a smile or two from Quinn. Jodi has always been beautiful, but motherhood sure looks gorgeous on her! Thanks for making the drive Gee family. It was a joy to see you again and photograph your beautiful family at Mountain Dell!

There’s no place like the Utah mountains in the summer! It’s my absolute favorite time of year to photograph families and this location is just gorgeous! Samuel’s sister won a family session that I had donated to a local fundraiser, but since she lives in California she gifted the session to the Purcell Family. I loved meeting this sweet family. They absolutely adore their beautiful little girls and capturing their love was a joy!

The wildflowers lasted just long enough for this beautiful family’s very first family photos. Yes, first family photos… ever! They have never hired a photographer and had professional family photos taken. I was so honored to be the one to capture these for them! They are such a fun family and I had a great time in the beautiful mountains with them! Hopefully I didn’t scare them off and they will make family photos a regular thing. I met the Bendixen family at our church 5 years ago. Since then, they have added two more beautiful girls to their family! They moved this week and I will definitely miss seeing them! The littlest one, Willa is about my baby Will’s age, so I think they might be meant to be! Will and Willa… so cute haha! I was glad I got to photograph them, they are such a beautiful group of girls! Sweet little Harper is my newest niece. She is the tiniest, sweetest little thing! I don’t feel like the photos really show how tiny she is. I absolutely love being able to photograph my own family! This senior session was so fun! It was my first time shooting a twins and I loved it. Twins are just the coolest! You have a built-in best friend for life. The Labrum family attends my church, and they are so sweet! Their oldest is leaving on his mission soon, so we will be doing mission pictures for him shortly as well. Little Brinley is so fun and full of energy. Remember if you have little ones, they are going to run the show and that’s ok. I love capturing their personalities just as they are. You may not get the perfect shot of everyone smiling, and that’s ok. The important thing is that you got everyone in the photo. Russ and Terri are wonderful! They own a local bakery, Granite Bakery and everything they do is delicious! They made my wedding cake and it was as yummy as it was beautiful!
