Baby Will | Cake Smash Neither of his sisters wanted anything to do with their first birthday cake, so I expected Will to be the same. Luckily he loved it and was so fun to watch! This was a really simple setup that anyone could do. I used two white sheets and hung them in the back yard. I prefer sheets for this, because seamless backdrop paper looks really messy with all the cake and frosting. Will Turns One | Birthday Portraits That was the fastest year of my life! Will has been such a joy from day one. He is the happiest, smiliest baby and you just can’t help but love him! He’s been an angel. We were out of town for his birthday, so I took these portraits of him in our backyard when we got back. Of course, his sisters had to get in the photos too. They both adore him! Ava and Will have an especially cute friendship. They love to play, read and giggle together. Their laughs are so infectious! Happy Birthday Bubby! We sure love ya!

Kid’s Studio Portraits | Bendixen Girls I met the Bendixen family at our church 5 years ago. Since then, they have added two more beautiful girls to their family! They moved this week and I will definitely miss seeing them! The littlest one, Willa is about my baby Will’s age, so I think they might be meant to be! Will and Willa… so cute haha! Their connection is so great and they had me laughing the whole time. I had such a great time! This rooftop location is one of my favorites and it fit their style so well. Baseball Senior Session | Ian Ian has been playing baseball since he was tiny and now he has received a baseball scholarship! It only seemed fitting to include it in his senior session. I love how it turned out and it was so fun to shoot on the field. After the photos on the baseball field, Ian made a quick outfit change and we got a totally different look at the park nearby! Laundromat Senior Session | Bethany The second location of Bethany’s senior session was at a Laundromat and I love how fun and unique it is! If you missed it, check out the first greenhouse location. The causal vibe of the Laundromat fit Bethany’s style so well! I love how different it feels from the greenhouse photos. She got such great variety from two quick photo shoots. Rooftop Senior Session | Sam Sam seriously made my job SO easy! He’s a natural in front of the camera. We shot on street level first before we headed up to the roof. I love urban locations like this for senior guys, I feel like it fit him perfectly! It’s a great location year round. cHe plays football and basketball, so it was fun to include the basketball hoop for a couple shots. It felt natural and not like a cheesy prop. Greenhouse Senior Session | Bethany Trust me when I tell you sweet Bethany’s heart is as beautiful as she is! To know her is to love her! Spring in Emery County comes a little slow, so there weren’t many options for outdoor locations. The greenhouse at Gordon’s Nursery and Floral was perfect for this senior session! Modern Kid’s Portraits | Personal Post I have started shooting more Modern School Portraits lately. I’m loving it and so are the parents! They are such a fun way to show your child’s personality. You get 3-5 adorable poses instead of that one forced smile you usually get from school photos. I use a modern seamless backdrop, so the end result is something you actually want to print and hang in your home! Here are some examples of portraits I took of my own kids in the fall. My dad hung a large print of each kid in his house and it turned out SO cute!
