Desert Family Session + Player-Timmons Family

Desert family sessions are one of my favs for sure! The kids love them too because afterwards they have a blast climbing all the rocks! This location is so close to where I grew up and we still spend time here for picnics and Easter camping. Shannon was a good friend of my mom’s; they bonded over their mutual love of yarn and crocheting. Anyone that had a place in my mom’s heart, has a place in mine. Shannon hand-dyes and spins her own yarn and she is so talented! You can check out her gorgeous creations here. Thanks for giving me the chance to capture your beautiful family. I love… Keep Reading

Ava is 3!

My Ava girl. I can’t believe you are already three. I’m not sure how it seems to happen so quickly. Sometimes when I look at you, I can’t wrap my mind around how big you are. You are so funny, sweet, determined and as stubborn as your mamma. You bring so much joy into our family! I love watching you be such a good big sister (when you aren’t picking on her haha). When you randomly give her hugs and kisses and tell her “I love you” it melts my heart. You had to have a Batman birthday cake, but you have never even seen Batman so we aren’t sure… Keep Reading

Sisters on Valentines

These two have been sick, tired and therefore cranky for the past couple weeks. I know they don’t feel well, but some days all the whining and crying and not sleeping just pushes me until I feel like I can’t do it. They can be so hot and cold. Tackling each other and stealing toys one minute and then cuddling and giving each other kisses the next. They are so sweet at times, it feels like my heart can’t soak up any more love. These photos were taken in less than five minutes and the girls went through the whole range of emotions haha… it captures their relationship perfectly! Man… Keep Reading

Comer Family + in-home session

The Comer family. So sweet and laid back. It turns out, our families are at similar places in our lives… both been married 5 years with two kids almost the same ages. Down the road I’m thinking we could set up their boys with my girls! I think it would be perfect… my husband would probably fight me on it though. I don’t think he will ever let them date, but maybe he will make an exception for adorable Sonny and Wells? I love the way Brinley decorated her home, so simple and modern. It was right up my alley! It really allows their personalities and love for each other shine… Keep Reading

play

I took a break from blogging over the holidays, so I thought I would post a quick one of some shots I took of my kids this morning. Featuring lots of bananas, playing, dancing, reading and messy hair. Always messy hair. Not pictured: me still in my pajamas.

Brian Family + Memory Grove Park

My husband and I are friends with Kelsey and her husband Ryan. I was honored when Kelsey asked if I would take family photos of her side of the family, the Brian’s. I had met most of her family before, but it was so nice to meet the rest of her siblings. They are all just as kind and sweet and Kelsey, and they know how to have fun together! It really should be illegal for one family to get all the good looks though; aren’t they all gorgeous? We fit this session in right before all the pretty leaves fell. Some of them had to make quite the drive to… Keep Reading

Behunin Family + Temple Quarry Trail

It’s funny to me that meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of photography, because I’m actually an introvert and naturally pretty shy. I’m grateful that it pushes me out of my comfort zone and I get to meet wonderful people like the Behunins. Their kids are so cute! I love seeing their little personalities come out in front of my camera. They recently moved back to Utah and I’m lucky they chose me to take some new family photos for them. They came to my fall mini sessions and the weather was perfect with the most gorgeous fall colors! Welcome back to Utah Behunin Family!

In Home Lifestyle Session + At Home With Ashley

Ashley is an interior designer and has the prettiest house! I graduated in interior design and worked as a designer up until Ava was born, so I appreciate good design! She was probably tired of me asking about the sources for everything. You should follow her if you love getting pretty ideas for your home! Click here to go to her insta. Her little boy Don has the most beautiful curly hair! I was dying over it. I LOVE an in home session, so if you do too send me an email and we can get something scheduled! They are perfect now that the weather is getting a little cooler and… Keep Reading

Howell Family + Green Canyon

It was so good to see Haley and Myles again and meet their kids! Haley and I were in the Interior Design program together at USU and I haven’t seen her since we graduated. Haley is a very talented designer, I have always loved her style. Myles is an amazing sculpture artist, you can check out his work here.Basically they are way cooler that I will ever be, and are rocking parenthood keeping up with their busy schedules, a 3 year old and twin babies! I’m so impressed with them.

Behling Family + Desert Family Session

I’m lucky enough to call these guys family! Katie is such a sweetheart and I’m so glad my cousin Brooks brought her into the family. When she told me she wanted to do their session on the desert, I was so excited! She wanted something a little different, and I love that. It turned out to be a favorite, even if we did get pretty dirty doing it! Their two boys had a blast rolling in the dirt together. When the boys were done, I stole Katie for a few shots of just her. I love doing that for moms. She is gorgeous!
