Beautiful little Claire was born at 2:47 am on February 4th. She came on her own terms and had everyone eagerly awaiting her arrival. Claire’s parents, Ross and Jamie, are lifetime friends to my husband and I. Even though we all lived in Logan, Utah at the time, it took traveling to Ghana for us to meet. Walking miles and miles in the dusty African heat, traveling in tro tros (tiny busses) packed with too many people and getting caught in torrential rain storms bonds you for life. They are always so fun to be around and I know they will be the funnest parents! Claire is a lucky little girl. I… Keep Reading

Tess’s Blessing + Personal Post
We blessed our sweet baby Tess Jamie Johnson on February 5th. It was such a touching experience. She brings a little bit of heaven into my life with her precious smiles. She is named after my mom who passed away before Tess was born. She has that natural happiness about her, and I just feel like she gets it from my mom. Special occasions without her are so bittersweet. Watching her be a grandma was like nothing else, and I just wish she was here to be a part of all our special moments. It breaks my heart that she never got to meet and cuddle Tess, but I love that we still… Keep Reading
Bendixen Family + Fall Session
I took photos for the Bendixen family back in October. They have three of the most adorable little girls and they are expecting their fourth in a few weeks! The fall colors were just as beautiful and joyful as this family is. I LOVE the outfits Kelsey chose, they took these gorgeous photos to the next level. What a fun family! I had a great time hanging out with them.
Lucy + Cake Smash
I went to high school with Lucy’s mom. It is so fun to see old friends with their little babies! She is beautiful and it was so fun to meet her. Lucy turns ONE today! She was so happy, easy going and just an angel to photograph. Happy Birthday Lucy!
Film + Personal Project
I have been interested in trying film photography for a while now. I love how beautiful the tones and colors turn out with little or no editing. My sweet husband gave me a film camera for Christmas and yesterday I received the scans back from my first roll of film! Technically not my first roll ever, since I used film cameras all the time growing up. I also took a black and white film class in high school, but I didn’t feel like I learned as much about shooting as I did about developing. Even though maybe half the roll didn’t really turn out, I was pleasantly surprised with the… Keep Reading
Alex + Kensey – Anniversary Session
My husband and I met Alex and Kensey several years ago through some mutual friends and it is so fun every time we get to see them! They recently celebrated their 5 year anniversary. The way they were looking at each other during this session would have made you think it was their engagement photos. Yet they are so comfortable with each other, it seems they have been together forever! They are so natural in front of the camera. The downtown Salt Lake location of Publik Coffee was the perfect spot to capture this cozy anniversary session.
