Sia was nominated for one of my Photos for Jamie sessions last year. She has been through a lot, making it difficult to schedule this session until now. I really wanted to make this session happen for her, so I recently reached out again. This was her response to my email: “Yes please! Oh my goodness, you’ve answered a prayer. Thank you. I’ve been thinking about you because I’m terminal now, and boy. Nothing makes you stop and say we need pictures like, ‘you’ve got months to live.’ But I didn’t want to ask because of COVID. So thank you for reaching out. And thank you for this incredible work… Keep Reading

Girl’s Room Renovation
Ava and Tess have always shared a room. Our house only has two bedroom upstairs, so when we were expecting our third baby, we knew the girls would need to move downstairs. We live in an old house and whoever finished the basement in the past, didn’t do the best job. The bedroom we needed to move them into didn’t have a closet or any outlets! We thought we would just add outlets, an Ikea closet and replace the old painted paneling with drywall. As most DIY projects go, it ended up being much more complicated. You never know what you are going to find once you start tearing into… Keep Reading
little brother
It’s been so fun to have Will in our family. The girls are absolutely loving having a little brother! These were taken when he was about a week and a half old, so I figured I should share them sooner than later. He’s almost two months old and so much bigger! I can’t believe how fast he’s changing. I wish I could stop time.
Will Chad Johnson + Birth Story
On June 21st, we met our baby boy. 8 lbs 12 oz and 21″ of pure newborn goodness! He is so sweet and I cannot get enough cuddle time with him! His sisters are obsessed and we are all so happy to have him join our family!
Dana + Photos for Jamie
I’m so excited to share this session with you all! It has been in the works since October of last year when Dana was nominated for one of my Photos for Jamie sessions for breast cancer survivors. These sessions are inspired by my mother, who we lost to this horrible disease four years ago. Dana received the most nominations and it’s no surprise why! I can’t believe how strong and positive she has remained after all she has gone through; she is so deserving! She has wonderful family and friends that have supported and loved her all along the way. You can tell her family is her pride and joy!… Keep Reading
Carter Family + Tunnel Springs Mini
I hadn’t seen this sweet family since I shot Owen’s newborn photos. He has grown so much and it was so fun to watch him run around, he was having the best time! I had a great time at their session and it was so nice to see them again. Emily is the sweetest! She always sends such kind messages after she opens her gallery. One of my favorite parts of this job is seeing how much the final images mean to the client. Thanks for having me again Carter family!!!
Ava’s Preschool Graduation
Ava graduated from preschool last week. It wasn’t quite what her teacher had in mind, and I feel bad for that but she did an amazing job of still making them feel special! It was so fun to see how proud Ava was to finish, even is she was a little sad she won’t be seeing her friends every week. They learn and grow so fast! I can’t believe she will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I am not ok with it. P.S. We absolutely LOVED Ava’s teacher, so if anyone is looking for a preschool in the Taylorsville/West Jordan area get in touch with me!
Winterhalder Family + Tunnel Springs Park Mini
Abbie is my second cousin and my mom always had a special place in her heart for her. She has the sweetest family now, and I’m so glad I was able to photograph them! I have gotten them in front of my camera twice lately, because we did some front porch pictures recently as well. I had a great time with them and love watching their cute kids interact with each other. They are so fun!
Mother’s Day Session + Loch Lomond Pond
This session is a special one. Courtnee (in the green skirt) was one of my mom’s best friends. She remembered me saying I wish I had more photos of my mom and I together, so she booked this session for her mom for Mother’s Day. I love that they made getting all the women in their family photographed a priority! The photos turned out beautiful and we had a good time. They definitely kept me laughing! I adore the close relationships they all have, it was a joy to capture. I hope these are cherished in their family for generations.
Senior Session + Shaylee
What a crazy way to end your senior year! I’m sure none of these seniors had homeschool in mind when they imagined their senior year. I feel bad for the things they missed out on; dances, friends, graduation, performances. I have learned they are very resilient and have found ways to stay positive through it all. Shaylee is no exception, she has taken it all in stride and is looking forward to the future. She is so sweet and kind to others. She babysits my girls and they just love her! It’s so hard for me to find someone I trust my kids with, so I really appreciate her (though… Keep Reading
