I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I shot Arie’s newborn photos! She’s just as sweet as she was then. Even though she was a little overwhelmed by getting her picture taken, she did so well and LOVED her cake! She was absolutely adorable eating it with her tiny fingers.

Neither of his sisters wanted anything to do with their first birthday cake, so I expected Will to be the same. Luckily he loved it and was so fun to watch! This was a really simple setup that anyone could do. I used two white sheets and hung them in the back yard. I prefer sheets for this, because seamless backdrop paper looks really messy with all the cake and frosting. I ordered balloons and balloon tape from Amazon, and it makes balloon garlands and arches SO easy to do! I also purchased a balloon filler earlier this year and it saves so much time! Definitely worth it!

She hardly tasted the cake and just kept trying to run away haha. She smashed her chocolate chip pancakes all over herself at breakfast that morning, so I had hopes that she would really be into her cake. I have a feeling my Tess baby will always be keeping me on my toes. She is a determined little thing and I love her feisty little soul.
