I first met Jessica when she was part of the Photos for Jamie Session I did for her mom. It was so fun to see her again and meet the rest of her family. Paityn is the sweetest! Her heart is as beautiful as she is and I had such a great time with her and her mom during this downtown SLC senior session! I love shooting downtown! It’s the perfect location for senior sessions and you run into such a diverse group of people, there’s never a dull moment! Downtown SLC is especially great for early spring senior sessions when most outdoor locations haven’t greened up yet. We got some great variety and I love how the photos turned out! Thanks Paityn. Downtown Salt Lake City was the perfect backdrop for Christian’s senior session! He’s a bit of an old soul, so the Exchange Place street had the perfect vibe! It’s one of my my favorite areas to shoot at because there is so much variety in such a small area. You can park right on Exchange Place and it’s so easy to walk up the street and find classic architecture all the way to graffitied alleyways and aged brick walls. After that, you can drive all the way to the top of the parking garage and get amazing views of the city! The downtown SLC buildings make such a pretty backdrop!

If fall leaves in the mountains doesn’t feel like the right fit for you, don’t be afraid to request something unique. I love scouting new locations and finding one that my clients will love! I don’t get very many requests for urban locations, but they are so fun! I used to work with Marbe at an architecture firm before Ava was born. She is an amazing designer and so so talented! She is funny and southern and kind and I just love her. When we worked together, her kids came by the office occasionally. Seeing them now makes me feel old, they are so grown up! One is in college now and the other is turning 15! Time is such a crazy thing. They hadn’t had family photos done since their daughter was a baby. Being able to give a family updated photos makes me so happy! Thanks so much for trusting me with these memories Agee family!
Kenzie and Quinn’s session was so fun! She originally asked for blossoms, but I didn’t think the timing of their session would work out. As it turns out, the cherry blossoms at the Utah State Capitol were a little late this year so it worked out perfectly! If you haven’t been to see the blossoms yet, you should go. They are absolutely gorgeous and they don’t last long! After the capitol, we went to a nearby rooftop and got some really fun shots. I love shooting downtown! These two were playful and made each other laugh through their entire session! Being able to capture their dynamic and unique relationship was a joy! Congratulations you two!
