We spent spring break in St. George and the weather was perfect! We saw friends and family, fished, covered ourselves in sand, swam and ate delicious food. It’s always so nice to get away for a few days and just play together. I actually didn’t take many photos, but the sand dunes were definitely one of the highlights! Love my people!

Favorite Makeup Artists
Getting ready to be in front of the camera can be stressful! One of the best ways to reduce that stress is to get your makeup professionally done. All of a sudden getting ready is relaxing! You just show up and let the pro take over. They know exactly how to apply makeup in a way that looks AMAZING on camera, but still looks like you. I hired Jill Marie the last time I got my photos taken, and I can’t say enough great things about her. She is so sweet and talented! What to Expect
I want to cover a few questions and concerns I get asked frequently in hopes of helping you know what you can expect when booking a session with me. I know it may be hard to believe (especially if you have had a bad family photo experience in the past) but we are going to have fun together! I know for most people, (husbands especially) having their photo taken is not something they look forward to. I know just how to make you feel comfortable and relax in front of my camera to capture natural smiles and emotion. When you book a session, you will receive my free Welcome Guide full of tips for choosing outfits and lots of great info to ensure your experience goes as smoothly as possible.
Here is how a typical family session will go… I always start with the entire family smiling and looking at the camera. After we get a few of those shots, we will break off into smaller groups as well as get individual shots. We will finish your session by all coming back together. This is the fun part where we play games and get more candid shots! I try to get some more tender/loving shots as well as some playful ones. You will cry happy tears when you see the photos of you loving on your sweet family and just having fun together!
Avett Rae + Lifestyle Newborn
Watching new parents with a fresh little babe never gets old! There is something so special about capturing their new love in the comfort of their own home. Especially when their home is so cute! Avett was the best newborn I have ever seen! She slept almost the entire time and was a perfect little angel. She’s the sweetest!
Tess Jamie is 2!
We celebrated Tess’s birthday over the weekend! We are so grateful for this little girl. She is so fiery and hilarious. Ava was just watching her yesterday and looked over at me and said, “Mom, she’s so cute.” I have to agree. Walker Family + Big Cottonwood Canyon
I sat down to edit a sneak peek of this session and ended up finishing the entire thing! This family is just too gorgeous, I couldn’t make myself stop. Val and I know each other from design school and I love each time I get to see her and her family. Their sweet Gavin is growing so fast! He looked like such a little man in his outfit. He has grown so much since their session last year (see it here). Gav definitely has a future in modeling if he wants it. He had so much fun exploring, running, and was mesmerized by the river nearby. Hopefully we wore him out and he slept like an angel that night.
This beautiful family has an exciting announcement and they let me in on their secret a little early….
Streeter Family + Neff’s Canyon
I was lucky enough to photograph Elena and her adorable kids last year (see that session here). Her husband was deployed and she wanted updated family pictures to send to him. They are so sweet! I loved being able to see them again and their daddy got to join them this time! Yay! Kids grow and change so quickly… it’s fun to see them each year.
Hammocks + Summer
Sometimes I shoot personal work on film. Since all the pictures from my childhood are on film, these instantly feel like old memories to me. I love that about it. And the colors are just so perfect. I will always remember summers hanging out in the back yard after John gets home.
The simple things
Bought a bubble machine today. It was a good choice. I love summer.
