Modern Kid’s Portraits | Personal Post

I have started shooting more Modern School Portraits lately. I’m loving it and so are the parents! They are such a fun way to show your child’s personality. You get 3-5 adorable poses instead of that one forced smile you usually get from school photos. I use a modern seamless backdrop, so the end result is something you actually want to print and hang in your home! Here are some examples of portraits I took of my own kids in the fall. My dad hung a large print of each kid in his house and it turned out SO cute!

Ava’s Preschool Graduation

Ava graduated from preschool last week. It wasn’t quite what her teacher had in mind, and I feel bad for that but she did an amazing job of still making them feel special! It was so fun to see how proud Ava was to finish, even is she was a little sad she won’t be seeing her friends every week. They learn and grow so fast! I can’t believe she will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I am not ok with it.

Abbi + Senior Session

Abbi was seriously so sweet and easy-going. When we met at the proposed location, it was all fenced off. She just went with the flow and we found lots of great spots! We got so much variety and I love this entire session, but those beautiful ballet shots are my personal favorite! She started ballet when she was 4, and her spring recital was canceled so I’m glad we could document this important part of her life and celebrate her accomplishments! She is missing out on so much, so it was important to make this session special for her. Congrats Abbi, good luck in all you do!

Kenzie + Quinn – Formal Session at American Fork Amphitheater

Congratulations to Kenzie and Quinn! They tied the knot today! I’m excited to be able to share the photos from their formals. I had such a great time with these two at their session. It all came together beautifully! Isn’t she just stunning her her gorgeous dress with her classic bouquet?! Kenzie and Quinn were both so easy going during their session. They made my job soooo easy! I love how they joke with each other and laugh together. They are such a cute couple! I recently discovered this location and I love it! The lilacs in full bloom just topped it off! Livi + SLC Temple Baptism Session

Editing these photos made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because she looks so beautiful and full of joy, but sad because she looks so old to me. Beautiful Livi is my niece and I love her to pieces! She made me laugh so. dang. hard. the entire session! She was poppin’ her hip and throwin’ down poses left and right. So much confidence and sass! I hope she never loses that and is always her beautiful, unique self. Happy baptism day Livi Lou! I’m so proud.
