Tara and I high jumped together at Utah State University. She was better (and taller) than I am. I would argue that the high jumping group had the most fun! So many great memories and great friends like Tara. I have hung out with her and her kids before, but I was thankful to have another excuse to see them. I was so excited that they chose Antelope Island as the location for their family shoot. I had never shot there before and I had been dying to go. I love the simplicity and the gorgeous tones! I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites of this session, they are just a gorgeous family. And how cute are Keaton and Oaklyn together?!

When I showed up to this session to meet Cortney and her family, they looked so familiar! We grew up in the same area. When you are from a small town, even if you have never formally met you have probably seen each other somewhere, or know lots of the same people. It’s so funny that way! I love this session so much! They were just a dream! Their little girl Aisley is the sweetest! She didn’t take any time at all to warm up to me and told me about school and all kinds of stories. Axton turns one today, so happiest birthday to you buddy! He was so good, and I loved watching him and his sister together. Thanks for inviting me to capture your gorgeous family Cortney and Kadin! I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with your family and getting to know you all!
